Global Shapers Thessaloniki Hub
The Hub of Thessaloniki is a member of the Global Shapers Community, an initiative of the World Economic Forum. It is aimed at young people aged 18-30 and aspires to become a catalyst for social innovation that acts as a creative springboard for young leaders to collaborate and co-create the future of our city.
Our Vision
The Global Shapers Thessaloniki Hub serves the local community by activating young leaders to contribute to the solutions of it challenges, the amplification of its opportunities, and the paving of the way for the next generation of change-makers.
Build Community
The Global Shapers Thessaloniki Hub is one of over 500 hubs around the world in over 150 countries and its formal application to join the Global Shapers Community was accepted in January 2020.
Though the COVID-19 pandemic forced the Hub to operate as an entirely virtual organization in the beginning of our mandate, we have fostered relationships not just in the local Thessaloniki community, but in the larger Greek community in collaboration with the Global Shapers Athens Hub, in the region with hubs throughout the Balkans and Europe, and even throughout the world, having welcomed visitors to Thessaloniki from hubs in South America and more.
In 2021, the Global Shapers Community celebrated its 10 Year Anniversary! The Decade of Impact report reveals how the Global Shapers Community has positively affected its members, and in turn, how Global Shapers have changed the world.
